THE PEACE PROJECT

PERIOD POVERTY

50% of girls in developing countries lack adequate menstrual care

Dirty socks, used rags, shoe soles, chicken feathers, goat hide and even soil will be used in place of sanitary pads

20 million girls will drop out of school This Year due to experiences with period poverty

Many result to having transactional sex for pads, leading to spikes in STDs, teen pregnancy & other shadow pandemics

A single pad costs 50¢, most girls require 10 pads a month. $5 can change a life

PROJECT I

CAPE COAST SCHOOL FOR THE DEAF & BLIND

Responsible for educating and housing deaf and blind children in Ghana, the children at the Cape Coast school call for our immediate support.

The rural location already presents quality of life concerns due to serious infrastructure issues, lack of clean water, and lack of menstrual care products

OUR GOAL

OUR GOAL

The average sanitary pad only costs 50 cents. While this is a steep price & out of reach for many in developing countries, we at Project Peace believe, with your help we can make feminine hygiene accessible to everyone. We believe basic hygeine Is a Human Right. All pads are fully biodegradable and planet friendly.

With 200 female students needing 10 sanitary pads a month, we plan to ship 55 gallon barrels filled with the necessities they need every 2 months.
